Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do signed an investment agreement totaling 16.1 billion won with Gilsan Steel Co., Ltd. and Sauber Co., Ltd. at the 'Signing of an Investment Agreement for Five Cities and Fourteen Companies in Chungcheongnam-do,' held at the Grand Conference Room in Chungcheongnam-do, Chungcheongnam-do on the 21st. Gilsan Steel Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of stainless steel plates, and plans to invest a total of 8.9 billion won and hire 17 new employees on an industrial site of 6,883 square meters in the Gyeryong 2 Industrial Complex. Sauber Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of sanitary paper products and dishwasher detergents, and plans to invest a total of 7.2 billion won and hire about 20 new employees on an industrial site of 3,689 square meters in the Gyeryong 2nd Industrial Complex. Under the agreement, Gyeryong City will actively support the business planned by Gilsan Steel Co., Ltd. and Sauber Co., Ltd. to the extent allowed by relevant laws and regulations. Deputy Mayor Hwang Sang-yeon said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the companies that decided to invest in Gyeryong Industrial Park 2 despite the difficult economic conditions such as COVID-19,” and said, “We will lavishly support investment companies to establish factory construction and implement administrative procedures related to new investments to create jobs and early settlement in Gyeryong City.”
